Harbor Dwarf Nandina. When 'Harbor Dwarf' first came on the market, it was the rage in the horticultural world. It maintained the delicate compound leaves of the species, but was incredibly dwarf. It flowers, but few berries are produced because Nandinas are mostly self infertile. So one must plant another clone nearby which flowers, and just a seedling will do, and the bees will take care of the rest. There is nothing more striking than a low 'Harbor Dwarf' Nandina with a huge cluster of red berries perched on top of this low mound.
